What skills and qualities do you have? And, more importantly, what do you wish for in a job? We’ll give you a call to get to know each other better.
The offices of Bright Plus are spread out all across Belgium. We asked their consultants for the best addresses in ‘their city’. Now you know where to hang out this summer, after your job interview. Today’s review: Liège. The Ardent City.
Have breakfast and/or coffee
What better way to find your bearings in Liège than by starting your day with a breakfast (or brunch) at Quebec Café? This restaurant has loads of charm and is a total change of scenery as everything here reminds you of Canada. Enjoy a delicious coffee and typical Canadian dishes such as pancakes, baked potatoes, eggs, and bacon. Get inspiration for your next holiday? Check! Immerse yourself in the many travel guides about Quebec and book your tickets right away. Besides the beautiful interior, Quebec Café also has a magnificent terrace and a car park. So, you have no reason not to stop here!
Grab some lunch
For a delicious lunch, we recommend Cafe Internazionale: a trendy yet extremely welcoming place. A great atmosphere and a beautiful terrace all wrapped into one! This small, cozy restaurant is located in the center of Liège and offers different types of dishes: tapas, pasta, salads and generous sandwiches (with pastrami that is at least as tasty as in New York!). Don't forget to order a delicious Italian cappuccino or homemade lemonade. You won’t regret it.
Go for an afternoon snack
Feeling a bit peckish, preferably for something sweet? Hurry to Paulette! The coffee, the (iced) tea, and the fruit juices are just divine, and the homemade cakes are finger-licking good. Take a seat on the small terrace or indoors and enjoy it! A nice extra: Paulette also sells decorative items and natural products, such as soap.
Buy new clothes
Want to give shopping a whole new meaning? In that case, boutique C2 is definitely where you want to be. The store fits perfectly in the surrounding retail district consisting of little-known brands, local designers and many pop-ups. Founders Claire and Célia channel their fashion flair to compose the boutique’s entire collections. Also good to know: you will also find nice accessories for men here.
Sit down for a drink
Le Volga Bar is the ideal location for a fun evening among friends. The cosy, vintage bar is situated on the edge of the city centre. In addition to delicious cocktails or cool draught beer, you will also find an extensive range of spirits such as rum, gin and whiskey. Make sure to complement your drink with a tasty cheese board or Ardennes charcuterie selection. The bar is stylishly decorated and the staff is very friendly. The ideal location for a first date ; -)
Enjoy your dinner
If you want to eat in a historic building in the heart of Liège, you should pick L’Antidote. Despite the limited menu selection in this sophisticated brasserie – set up in what used to be a pharmacy – the food ingredients used are super fresh and of high quality. For example, you can enjoy carpaccio or scallops as a starter, perch or a red meat cut as a main course, and lemon tart or panna cotta for dessert. Later on, you may even be treated to one of the frequent events, such as flamenco or concerts: the ideal recipe for a perfect evening!
