Congress and Events Manager, with excellent English in Elsene

As a Congress and Events manager you will work closely with the Director, be in charge of liaising on logistical elements with the external Professional Congress Organiser (PCO) and other external agencies, which the company partners with in delivering the event.

  • You will work closely with the Programme Manager and the Innovation and Development Team within the company.
  • You will support the creation of a Technical Programme that can draw the attention of the global ITS Community.
  • You will act as the main logistical contact for the Professional Congress Organiser throughout the process, as well as for the Host cities and liaise and select suppliers for production of communication tools.
  • You will work closely with marketing support and contractors, the CE Manager is overall responsible for the marketing of the event that includes the creation of the visual identity, the website, look and feel of the programme.
  • You will support in developing the key messages that are communicated about the ITS Congress, as well as the communications campaigns.
  • You will coordinate material for the Congress eblasts, videos, and social media and develops the editorial calendar that supports these strategies.
  • You will work with external Congress partners to deliver on their sponsorship package (articles, podcasts, webinar…).
  • You will keep track of the schedule for the delivery of the event, ensuring timely reminders to the rest of the team including suppliers and partners to meet all deadlines and benchmark the event, as well as organising regular meetings with the Host.
  • You will advise on budget spending for marketing and appropriate steps to be taken.
  • You will be responsible for crisis management planning when necessary.


  • You have at least 5 years’ experience in event management.
  • You have a strong background in marketing and communications and Social media experience.
  • You have excellent English writing/editing skills.
  • You have experience in working with website content management systems (CMS).
  • You have basic knowledge and experience of Photoshop, In-Design would be an asset.
  • You are highly organised, energetic, crisis manager and active team player.
  • You are creative: ability to come up with innovative tools and new ideas.
  • You have the ability to manage people effectively, generating a strong team spirit
